IREBS Dupuis Award for Affordable Housing

The IREBS Dupuis Award for Affordable Housing was established in 2021 by the IRE|BS Foundation for African Real Estate Research, to acknowledge and support high quality research or innovative best practice in the field of affordable housing.

Solutions to the pressing demand for affordable housing are a key element to the sustainable development of African societies and at the same time a vast and still largely untapped market for real estate developers, investors, and the construction industry.

The award aims to foster rigorous research and innovative solutions that help to create affordable housing or facilitate access to affordable housing for the growing urban population in Africa.

The Award includes a cash prize of US$ 2,500. It is awarded by the IRE|BS Foundation for African Real Estate Research and sponsored by Frank Dupuis. The Award is generally presented once a year. Applications that meet the award regulation criteria should be submitted to info@afrer.org by 30th June of each year. In the launch year 2021 the submission deadline is extended to 31st October.
