Kwame Nkrumah Technical University

In their own words
"I am Dr.-Ing. Emmanuel Kofi Gavu, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Land Economy at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, and currently serve as Secretary of the International Real Estate Society (IRES, 2025–2027). I hold a PhD in Spatial Planning (summa cum laude) from TU Dortmund University and was privileged to serve as a Pollman (Postgraduate) Fellow in Real Estate and Urban Development at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.   The IREBS Foundation for African Real Estate Research has been instrumental in shaping my academic and professional journey. Through its generous travel and research grants, I was able to participate in international conferences, present my research to global audiences, and build valuable networks with scholars and practitioners from around the world. These opportunities significantly enhanced the visibility of my work and opened doors to meaningful international collaborations.   Beyond the financial support, the Foundation provided an invaluable platform for professional growth and academic exchange. The exposure, mentorship, and connections I gained through the IREBS network have contributed greatly to my development as a researcher and educator.   The support I received from the IREBS Foundation has been a significant factor in my career development, and I remain deeply appreciative of its contribution to my academic journey and the advancement of real estate research in Africa."
