Who can apply

These awards are handed to researchers, whose papers have been presented at AfRES conferences. Best papers should comply with aspects of quality, profoundness, innovation and relevance. The Best Paper Awards contain prize money of EUR 1,000 and a certificate. In the past there have been two award categories: Real Estate Investment and Sustainable Real Estate.

To honour an excellent researcher and a close friend of AfRES, who passed away in August 2014, the IREBS Foundation for African Real Estate Research had introduced the Dr. Olawande Oni Memorial Prize for the best paper on Real Estate Valuation for a term of 10 years (until 2024).

    All Papers presented during the conference are considered for possible Best Paper Awards

    The decision on the best paper awards is made independently of the IREBS Foundation. The decision is made by the Academic Chair of the Conference together with the Anonymous Reviewers of all papers.
